But, the system is working for now, let's see if that holds. Then I moved the HDMI second monitor from USB-C on the mini back to HDMI on the mini and guess what? No internet disconnect. Then I plugged my Carbon Copy Clone external hard drive into a USB-C-USB-A adapter - Internet fine. Then I plugged the HooToo bus into the second USB-A port on the mini and plugged the printer into the bus - Internet fine. So I added Time Machine to one of the USB-A ports on the mini (moved the keyboard and mouse to USB-A on the USB-C monitor, which has USB ports like a bus). So I connected the second monitor USB-C mini to HDMI adapter to HDMI monitor, and Internet connection worked fine. Did it 10 times plugged and unplugged: very consistent Internet freeze/unfreeze. I unplugged the HDMI and Internet worked again. Then I plugged in the second monitor HDMI to HDMI.
No internet freezes with Safari, App Store app or Mail.

So rather than update with the 14.3 delta I did a full Mojave reinstall with data in place using the Recovery mode, with all peripherals unplugged except the monitor (USB-C to USB-C), and keyboard and mouse (both USB-A). When the Mojave 14.3 update came out, a couple of people reported that they were no longer experiencing Internet freezes in their 2018 minis. I've gone full-on experimenting to find a fix or workaround for the Internet freezes on this 2018 mini.

I'm not asking for suggested fixes (there are all kinds of ideas out there, including software fixes and unplugging USB peripherals, all of which work intermittently), but I am curious about the technology behind this kind of problem. Came back to day to the mini and it is running fine on the Internet, but I can't trust it now. The problem was so bad a couple of days ago that I had to switch to my MacBook. I am into trying multiple software solutions with Apple tech support and have been prowling through all the forums. Old 2014 mini, MacBook, iPad and iPhone all have no problems running on the Internet all day in this same wifi/radio emission office environment. Trouble with flakey internet connection through wifi and Bluetooth Trackpad disconnect/reconnect. I appreciate the depth on knowledge on this forum.
